... and hoped (a different outcome continued)

friday evening | return home after picking up a package and determining home seen is just not it.  start checking daily new listings.  find something considerably more expensive than current contracted home. decide it's worth it.  realtor agrees we should see it at 5:40.  call mortgage agent to determine if i will be approved and can afford it.  call mom and apologize for previous conversation. get in the house ... LOVE IT!!!! determine around 6:15 we are making another offer. sign new contract at 7:15pm, get ready for pub crawl.  meet up, realtor is there - discuss options, decide we need to retool contract.  pub crawl some more.

saturday | end of friday and down day | 12:00am return home after drive-thru at taco cabana.  receive new contract, re-sign at 12:40pm. cross everything possible.  HOPE FOR THE BEST!  sleep, sort of.  receive text that the contract is "acknowledged" and realtor will get to sellers ASAP.  think and hope on new home, goodwill drop-off, think about house, walmart, think about house, talk to mom, think about house, pack some boxes, just kind of chill and continue to hope for the best.

sunday | head to Dallas for the Cowboys vs. Steelers game.  tough day :) while at the game realtor calls, the sellers have countered.  i can live with the counter.  on the way home, realtor sends new contract.  i sign via my phone, and come to the realization that they have signed the contract!!  everything is just written changes and i initial!  ummm again - via phone - have i said lately technology rocks!  because it does!  do a little dance in the car, scream a little, blow the horns (it's a long stretch of lonely highway) and relax ...

monday | title company receipts the contract and deposit earnest money - and we are officially under contract!!!

and that's the story of how i got to the house i bought ... i am now happily in the home (was able to lease prior to close in an effort to not couch surf).  now the changes commence - and i am already having a blast with it!
